This Privacy Policy explains how Elara Wallet ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By using Elara Wallet, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We DO NOT Collect
As a non-custodial wallet, we prioritize your privacy. We explicitly DO NOT collect, store, or have access to:
Private Keys: Your private keys are generated and stored locally on your device. We never see them.
Seed Phrases: Your BIP39 recovery phrases remain on your device. We cannot recover your wallet.
Transaction Details: Your transaction history, amounts, and recipients are private.
Wallet Balances: We do not track or store your cryptocurrency balances.
Personal Identifying Information: We do not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses for wallet operation.
3. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to provide the App's functionality:

Device type and operating system (Android/iOS)
App version for compatibility and update purposes
Crash reports and error logs (anonymized)
3.2 Usage Analytics (Optional)
With your explicit consent, we may collect anonymized usage data:
Features used within the App

3.3 Network Data
To connect to ElectrumX servers and blockchain networks, the App:
Connects to public ElectrumX servers (electrum.blockstream.info, rx.interchained.org)
Broadcasts transactions to the Bitcoin and Interchained networks
Queries blockchain data for balances and transaction history
This data is necessary for cryptocurrency operations and is not linked to your identity.
4. How We Use Information
We use the minimal information we collect to:
Provide core wallet functionality (balance queries, transaction broadcasting)
Improve App performance and fix bugs
Develop new features based on usage patterns
Send critical security updates (if you opt-in to notifications)

5.1 Local Storage
All sensitive data is stored locally on your device:

No Cloud Backup: We never upload your wallet data to cloud services

ElectrumX Servers: For blockchain data queries (no personal data shared)
Price APIs: For live cryptocurrency price feeds (anonymized requests)
RevenueCat: For premium subscription management (see Section 7)
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:
Legal Compliance: If required by law, court order, or government regulation
Service Providers: Minimal data shared with essential services (e.g., crash reporting, analytics) under strict confidentiality agreements
Security Threats: To prevent fraud, security breaches, or illegal activity
7. Premium Subscriptions
If you purchase a premium subscription:
RevenueCat: Processes subscription payments via Google Play / App Store
Data Collected: User ID (anonymized), subscription status, purchase receipts
Payment Info: Handled entirely by Google/Apple. We never see credit card details.
Cancellation: Managed through your Google/Apple account settings
You have the following rights regarding your data:
Access: Request what data we collect (minimal, as described above)
Deletion: Uninstall the App to delete all local data
Opt-Out: Disable analytics in Settings
Portability: Export your wallet via seed phrase backup
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures:

Biometric authentication (Face ID / fingerprint)
6-digit PIN protection
No server-side storage of sensitive data
Important: No security is perfect. You are responsible for backing up your seed phrase and protecting your device.
10. Children's Privacy
Elara Wallet is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us immediately at [email protected].
11. International Users
Elara Wallet is available globally. Your data is processed on your local device. Network requests to ElectrumX servers and APIs may cross international borders. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted in the App with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Remember: Elara Wallet is non-custodial. We never have access to your funds. Write down your seed phrase and keep it safe. If you lose it, we cannot recover your wallet.
